This is still less than what is recommended by the Center for Disease Control, National Institute of Health, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine
We recommend that you get 10,000 steps/day (or accumulate 70,000 steps for the week). We also recommend that you get at least 20 minutes of physical activity/day that makes you sweat and gets your heart pumping. This can be from many activities including; fast walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, elipticals, resistance training, yoga, and recreational sports
